In a tight connection with textile tradition territories, this Triennial intends to be an eclectic space promoting dialogue between artists, creators, the community (citizens and local business companies) and the city that hosts it, therefore contributing to the diversification process of the regions economy and cultural and creative industries.

CONTEXTILE has as proposal and mission: to provide visibility to Textile Art; to mobilize and stimulate artists to an innovative and experimental approach of visual arts; to assume itself as an Platform of creativity and of debate of ideas/projects, development of international networks, exchange of interdisciplinary and academic good practices.

We count with the presence of specialized guests, incited to present their studies, works and experiences, namely in market issues, the realization of promotion events and the situation of Textile Art on the universe of artistic schools, current questions that move around the reflexion on Contemporary Art.

In these two days of forum, moments of analysis and debate will take place, as well as good practices presentations, both national and international, in a scope that will involve an specialized audience, but also opened to all people interested on the subject.
